A pivot year for clean energy; a year of climate folly in the South

AS it comes to a close, 2022 presents a mixed picture of pluses and minuses on the climate front. In its review of the year, The Associated Press (AP) concluded that “policy, climate and war have made 2022 a pivot year for clean energy.” In its own assessment, however, the Manhattan-based City Journal saw the year as a time of “climate folly” in the developing world.
