The benchmark equity indices on the BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened over 1.5 per cent higher on Friday tracking positive cues in the global market. At 9:18 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 1,045.53 points (1.83 per cent) higher at 58,280.86, while the Nifty 50 was up 299.35 points (1.76 per cent) at 17,313.70.
