It’s common knowledge that Chinese media abroad is an important tool for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to expand its propaganda, protect its interests globally, misinform about its authoritarianism and especially hide its human rights abuses. Also, several overseas Chinese newspapers are subsidized by the communist regime in order to stay in the market.
