China reports 448 new COVID cases on July 29 vs 564 day earlier

BEIJING, July 30 (Reuters) – Mainland China reported 448 new coronavirus cases on July 29, of which 100 were symptomatic and 348 were asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said on Saturday. That compares with 564 new cases a day earlier – 109 symptomatic and 455 asymptomatic infections, which China counts separately. There were no new deaths, leaving the nation’s death toll at 5,226.
