CORONAVIRUS/Taiwan reports 23,971 new COVID-19 cases, 62 deaths Taipei, July 28 (CNA) Taiwan recorded 23,971 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, all but 149 of which were domestic infections, and 62 deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). The deceased ranged in age from their 40s to over 90. Twenty-four of those who died were unvaccinated, while 61 had chronic illnesses or other severe diseases, the CECC said.
