Israeli conductor Eliahu Inbal, 86, has cancelled his new contract as Chief Conductor of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra which was to take effect for another three years when his current three-year tenure ends in August. The orchestra says, Inbal asked to be freed from that agreement.
