Wuhan lab leak theory 'politically motivated, lie': China hits back at WHO

Beijing: China on Sunday hit back at the World Health Organisation (WHO) for calling yet another probe into the Wuhan lab leak of Covid-19 and termed the theory a “lie” and “politically motivated”. Back on Friday, a WHO expert group said “key pieces of data” to explain how the pandemic began were still missing and recommended a deeper investigation into whether the Covid outbreak was a result of a leak from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan.
