A study conducted by Assistant Professor Kyan Akira (Kobe University Graduate School of Human Development and Environment) and Professor Takakura Minoru (Faculty of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus) has identified socio-economic disparities in physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the first study in the world to reveal that the degree of disparity differs for each domain of physical activity in daily life (work, recreation and transport).
