Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has urged the Hong Kong government to develop the economy, improve people's livelihoods and resolve issues affecting society, as he presented an appointment letter to the city's incoming leader John Lee Ka-chiu on Monday. Endorsing Lee's leadership at the session in Zhongnanhai, Beijing, Li described him as someone who could unite the various sectors in Hong Kong to solve problems.
