SHANGHAI, May 27 (Xinhua) — Shops and restaurants are gradually reopening in China’s economic hub Shanghai as the recent COVID-19 resurgence is under control. Shanghai’s market regulators said on Wednesday that more than 500 food manufacturing companies have resumed production disrupted by the COVID-19 resurgence. Supermarkets, shopping malls and convenience stores are also restarting the offline business. The catering business is also resuming.
