Washington, May 18: India plans to deploy a Russian-made S-400 missile defense system by next month to protect itself from the threats of Pakistan and China. The Pentagon's Supreme Intelligence Agency said at a parliamentary hearing as it undertook a wide range of military modernization efforts, including the Air Force, Ground Forces, Navy, and Strategic Nuclear Forces. India began receiving S-400 missile defense systems from Russia last December, Lieutenant Scott Berlier, Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, told members of the Senate Military Commission at a recent parliamentary hearing.
