Israel says it has foiled plans by Tehran to assassinate a US general in Germany, a journalist in France and an Israeli diplomat in Turkey. “These terrorist attacks were ordered, approved and financed by the senior leadership of the Iranian regime,” the office of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced on Sunday. “They were to be carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).” An agent charged with the attacks was arrested and interrogated on Iranian soil several months ago, the statement said.
