Companies reopening plants in locked-down Shanghai are booking hotel rooms to house laborers and transforming empty workshops into on location isolation facilities as authorities ask them to continue work while complying to intense COVID-19 checks. Many organizations including multinationals Tesla and 3M have resumed factories for the Chinese economic hub under local guidelines expecting them to isolate laborers inside a "closed-loop".
