DHAKA, Mar 9 (NNN-BSS) – The 36th session of the Asia-Pacific regional conference (APRC) of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), kicked off in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, yesterday. The conference brings together 46 Asia-Pacific FAO member states and a wide range of observers, such as representatives of United Nations bodies, to discuss current country and regional priorities and pressing issues in the region, such as, the impact of COVID-19, the state of agriculture, natural resources management, food security and nutrition.
