A Chinese restaurant chain in northwest England has had to use robotic labor after they struggled to get staff during the Covid pandemic, and has turned to one BellaBot at each of the four restaurants in Liverpool, St Helens, Bolton and Wigan, to cater to diners. The robots have already proven popular with diners, and the friendly-faced robots cost $20,000. The restaurant, like many others around the world, has struggled with reduced staffing since it reopened after the pandemic, and made worse by staff having to isolate due to the Omicron variant of Covid.
