China Everbright Bank has seen rapid growth in registered users of its cloud-based platform for the payment of utilities fees and other administrative expenses. Direct-connect users of Everbright Cloud Jiaofei (光大云缴费) have increased by over 50 million since the start of 2021 to breach the 100 million threshold, according to figures recently released by China Everbright Bank. As of the start of December Everbright Cloud Jiaofei had connected to over 660 companies and financial institutions including China UnionPay, WeChat and Meituan, covering fee payments for areas including water, electricity, gas, heating, education, transit, healthcare and social welfare.
