Customs personnel on Thursday seized five containers of smuggled red onions misdeclared as "mantou" or Chinese steamed buns in Misamis Oriental. In a statement, the Bureau of Customs said the smuggled onions were discovered during in a spot-check inspection at the MICTSI container yard. The shipment arrived on November 13, 2021, at Mindanao Container Terminal Sub-Port in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
