On the 23rd of October, Saturday, India recorded a surge in the new Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) In the past 24 hours, India reported 16,236 new cases, 666 fatalities (approximately 400 more fatalities than yesterday) and 17,677 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the total cases of the Wuhan virus reached 3,41,59,56, of the total 1,73,728 are active cases, 3,35,32,126 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,53,708 are deceased cases till date.
