Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Monday that the US is closely monitoring China ‘s development of advanced weapons systems after the Chinese tested what is thought to be a new hypersonic nuclear-capable missile. The missile is reportedly designed to travel in low orbit to dodge missile detection and defense systems, allowing China to strike virtually anywhere on the planet with little or no warning.
