China secretly tests first moving hypersonic missile that surprises US intelligence "by surprise"

China has tested a new space capability with a hypersonic missile, the TBEN reported on Saturday. The report, citing several sources close to the test, said Beijing launched a nuclear-capable missile in August that circled the Earth in low orbit before descending towards its target, which three sources said they missed by more than 32 kilometers. FT sources said the hypersonic glide vehicle was carried by a Long March rocket, the launches of which it usually announces, although the August test was kept under wraps.
