The broken supply chain: Many factors, no easy fix

In March a Taiwanese ship, the MV Ever Given became a global punchline after getting stuck for in Egypt’s Suez Canal for nearly a week. Last month, Smyths warned that some toys may be in short supply in the lead up to Christmas, and urged parents to shop early to avoid disappointment. These two things may seem to be unrelated, but they're not.
