Xinjiang reports 2 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday recorded two asymptomatic cases of COVID-19, according to a statement from the regional COVID-19 control headquarters. The two asymptomatic cases were reported between midnight and 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the city of Cocodala, which neighbors the city of Horgos, where one confirmed case of COVID-19 was reported on Tuesday. The two cases were spotted during the third citywide nucleic acid testing on Tuesday. They have been placed under medical observation in a designated hospital.
