We currently anticipate a very close race between the SPD and the CDU / CSU to become the strongest party in the next Bundestag. However, as both major parties will likely fall far short of a large result above 30%, they will need at least two other parties to join them, as long as they do not rejoin forces in a grand coalition, something that particularly the SPD refused to do it again.
