In the second city in southeastern China, the outbreak of delta variants that began late last week surged cases of COVID-19. The National Health Commission said Tuesday that 59 new cases were identified in the last 24 hours, more than doubling the total to 102. All are in Fujian Province on the east coast of China. The port city of Xiamen has confirmed 33 cases in the last two days.
