China’s military has shown off its new robotic drone shark at the three-day 7th China Military Intelligent Technology Expo in Beijing. The shark-shaped weapon of war is propelled at speeds of up to six knots [just under 7mph] by a unique bionic tail-fin. Beijing-based manufacturers Boya Gongdao Robot Technology say the autonomous submersible is designed for reconnaissance, search and rescue, and anti-submarine warfare. It features low noise, long-endurance, fast speed, and high flexibility, making it a formidable threat in any future conflict.
