On an afternoon trip, journalists will get their first chance to look around the residential area on the Olympic Green. The tour will be prefaced by a briefing on construction, planning and operation at the Beijing Olympic Media Centre. When the Village is operational, it will house an airport check-in counter, a commercial street lined with shops run by BOCOG partners, 16,000 athletes and officials during the Olympics, and 6,200 during the Paralympics.
