Inactivated vaccines may have been China’s fastest response to Covid-19 but vaccines using other technologies are catching up and are helping ease the product shortage, according to experts. The China National Pharmaceutical Group, known as Sinopharm, got approval last week to conduct clinical trials on its recombinant protein vaccine against Covid-19, adding to several vaccines using the same technology being tested.
