April 7 (Reuters) – The London Metal Exchange’s LME Asia Week, a major annual metals industry gathering, will be held online this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, a spokeswoman for LME owners Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) said on Wednesday. The event, which normally sees metal executives and traders descend on Hong Kong for a week of seminars, business meetings and receptions, will take place around the end of May, the spokeswoman said in an email, adding that further details would be released in due course.
