First shipment of Chinese COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in Turkey BEIJING, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Turkey is expecting the first shipment of a Chinese COVID-19 vaccine. Clinical trials in Turkey show that the vaccine, CoronaVac, is 91.25 percent effective, according to Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca. The phase-3 studies of Chinese vaccine producer Sinovac's inactive virus vaccine CoronaVac were launched in Turkey on Sept. 14. No major symptoms were detected during CoronaVac's trials in Turkey.
