BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — The construction of the National Speed Skating Hall for Beijing 2022, also known as the “Ice Ribbon” was completed on Friday and will start ice-making in January of 2021 , according to the Beijing Major Projects Construction Headquarters Office. As the only newly-built competition venue for ice events in the Beijing Winter Olympics, it covers an area of about 80,000 square meters and can accommodate about 12,000 spectators.
