The military standoff between India and China at the freezing heights of Ladakh on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) took a dramatic turn on Monday. The Indian Army detained a Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldier in the Demchok sector in the disputed border in eastern Ladakh. As per established protocols, the detained PLA soldier will be returned back to Chinese officials at the Chushul – Moldo meeting point after completion of formalities.
