China’s economy expanded 4.9 percent year-on-year in the third quarter as industrial growth continues to recover from the country’s coronovirus epidemic. The expansion in GDP missed expectations, but was still ahead with a 3.2 percent growth in the second quarter and represented a sharp turn from the historical decline at the beginning of the year.
