Taiwanese businessman has COVID-19 after leaving Philippines

A Taiwanese businessman who lives in the Philippines tested positive for COVID-19 after returning to Taiwan recently, bringing the total number of cases in Taiwan to 493, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Sunday. The patient, who is in his 40s, showed symptoms of fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness and sore muscles Sept. 1 while he was still in the Philippines, but did not seek medical attention, the CECC said.
