ZTE and China Unicom pilot 5G base station energy saving technologies

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, and Liaoning branch of China Unicom have conducted a trial in the 5G wireless network in Dalian, China, piloting the latest 5G energy saving technologies. According to the demonstration, these technologies can significantly reduce the energy consumption of 5G base stations without affecting the existing network quality at all, hence the readiness for large-scale deployments.
