Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported 28 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all in the regional capital Urumqi, the regional health commission said Monday in its daily report. The region also saw eight new asymptomatic cases in Urumqi Sunday. By Sunday, Xinjiang had 590 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 116 asymptomatic cases, and 14,939 people were still under medical observation. From July 15 to Sunday, Urumqi had a total of 30 people discharged from the hospital after recovery and another 26 asymptomatic dismissed from medical observation.
