China calls apps ban ‘wrongdoing’, says will protect interest of companies

NEW DELHI: China on Tuesday said it had taken up with India “wrongdoings” in the form of the ban on 59 Chinese mobile Apps and that it will take “necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies”.The statement by the Chinese embassy spokesperson, which also described the ban as deliberate interference in market-driven cooperation, was apparently in response to a query about WeChat being asked to stop providing services to its Indian users.
